About Me

With a broad spectrum of study spanning 20 years on piano and keyboard performance, Mike Guzman’s background is well versed, covering a plethora of skills relating to being a professional in today’s music industry.  Rooted in classical pedagogy and an equal passion for contemporary styles, his approach is reflective to a well rounded musician, composer and song writer.  His early studies under the tutelage of Richard Russo and Deborah Love proved a worthy investment, as he received a scholarship from the Steinway Society of Central Florida in 2008 while still a junior in high school.  This lead to his studies at Valencia College where he went on to receive his Associate of Arts degree in Music Performance in 2012 under the guidance of Drucilla Engel and John Olearchick in contemporary & jazz literature respectively.

As an educator, Mike prides himself in combining patience and open-mindedness to enthusiastically motivate and inspire each individual student to reach for their goals and aspirations. He believes strong fundamentals are essential and is an advocate of injury-preventive techniques for students of all levels.
